On December 16th, we celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Belgian private lab, that was officially launched on July 1st 2001 as a spin-off of the Belgian Ghent University. 
At that time, about 25 people worked at Fytolab, which was the name of the lab back then.
In the beginning our activities were focused on the analysis of pesticide residues, but as time passed, we added mycotoxins and other contaminants to our activities.
Also, we started commercial activities in the Netherlands and France and the labs Fytolab Bulgaria and Fytolab Colombia were founded in 2010 and 2011. In 2014 the center for quality inspection and certification joined the group.
In 2015 the PRIMORIS holding was created and all activities underwent a name change to PRIMORIS. Nowadays, PRIMORIS analyses annually more than 50.000 samples with more than 100.000 results.
