Managing risk together at our 2025 seminar
What does it really take to manage risk in the food and feed industry?
Science, strategy, and sharp questions — that’s what defined our 2025 Seminar.
Yesterday, we brought together a full room of professionals to explore how food safety decisions are made — not only in the lab, but also in legislation, quality systems, and daily business practices.
Across five strong presentations, we looked at risk from different angles.
We examined how allergen testing only works when it’s part of a company-wide approach — not just a checkbox at the end of production. We explored how EU contaminant legislation takes shape, where science meets political and practical realities. And we took a closer look at toxicity: how values like ADI and ARfD are established, and what they actually mean in the context of real-world exposure.
The discussion didn’t stop there. We saw how risk-based analysis plans rely on smart decision-making, not just broad testing. And as always, we closed with the FAVV’s residue monitoring results — providing a clear snapshot of where we stand, and where vigilance is still needed.
The audience brought thoughtful questions to the final Q&A, and the conversations continued well into the reception — always a sign of a relevant and timely event.
A big thank-you to our speakers:
Marie Deckers, Frans Verstraete, Pieter Spanoghe, Hans Braeckman, and Michaël Colson — and to everyone who attended.
We’re proud to support the sector not only with analysis, but with space for shared insight and reflection.
See you next year.
